Dee has given me full reign to post this long awaited blog and I will try my best to do it justice. Wondering who this impostor is? Well, this is Ashli, Dee's sidekick. Dee has watched over the last year as my husband and I have built a house. If any of you have done it, then I know you feel my pain!!! We moved here over a year ago with hopes that we would be in our house in 4 months. Ha Ha Ha!!!! We lived with my parents thinking it would be such a short stay. What we didn't know then!!! So, this song is dedicated to the new house on a hill!!!
On the 1st month of building, construction gave to me, a 9 month glowing pregnancy
On the 2nd month of building, construction gave to me, pipe clay in the soil
On the 3rd month of building, construction gave to me, a million trees to clear
On the 4th month of building, construction gave to me, a bad Talquin meter
On the 5th month of building, construction gave to me, high interest payments
On the 6th month of building, construction gave to me, a well to replace Talquin
On the 7th month of building, construction gave to me, a broken bedroom window
On the 8th month of building, construction gave to me, a well that pumped brown water
On the 9th month of building, construction gave to me, a beautiful baby boy
On the 10th month of building, construction gave to me, stains on the new carpet
On the 11th month of building, construction gave to me, a yard full of mud
On the 12th month of building, construction gave to me, a gorgeous home to live in
