No Pot of Gold

Today was a long day, but good day. Long...because we anxiously waited all day to hear from Mom and Dad about Dad's lab and MRI results for his brain tumor from the Mayo Clinic. Good...because I got to spend the day with my sis-in-law and see (by ultrasound) my niece, Rosalina. My brother's baby girl. She's gonna be a beauty, I tell ya :)

As Mic and I sat in my car at a stop sign listening to Mom and Daddy give us the results from his tests, I looked out of Mic's window and see this. The end of a rainbow. As we looked behind us at the rest of the rainbow that made it's way up through the trees, we looked back at it's end...something I've always heard about, but never seen. Absolutely beautiful. The picture doesn't do it justice as to how bright and big it was there beside us.

Mom lets us know that the tumor has not grown, but due to more symptoms Dad is having, they want him to stay an extra day to run more neurological tests and more in depth blood work to find out what else is going on. Not bad news, but we're hoping tomorrow gives us GREAT news. I believe that God sends us signs to let us know that everything is going to be ok and He is here to help us through all of our trials. I'll take this as a sign. There may not be a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, but there is definitely peace and comfort at a times when it is much needed and I'll take that over a pot of gold anyday.

What a beautiful picture, something that most people will never see in person ... I'll be thinking of you guys and hoping for good news from the doc.
