26 going on 72

...is what I feel like today. My children are aging me WA-HAAAAY beyond my actual age. All "three" of them...dog included. As I take Tahra out this afternoon to go potty, all I asked of my 2 birth children is to STAY INSIDE since it's rained ALL day and the yard now has mini-ponds in it. "Simple enough", right? Famous last words.

As I'm across the yard trying to convince the dog to relieve herself...which she's completely not interested in doing...Anna Lynn trots out of the house to show me a picture that she drew. I guess in her mind it was good enough to risk a good time-out for since I CLEARLY told them to STAY INSIDE! After threatening her numerous times to go back inside, she finally **tried** to. I **tried** to. The house was locked. Deadbolt and all. With Tripp inside. What a wonderful world.

I had no phone. I had no keys. I had NO MORE patience! What I did have was the reality of a two year old inside a house...alone, a dog beside me shredding the "all important" picture of Anna's into a thousand pieces on the porch, and Anna freaking out because "we were going to be stuck outside forever!!!" REALLY????

Through the grace of God, our neighbor...the hero of the week...kindly came to save the day. In the end, a window had to be broken to get inside. And I'll let you guess who was standing on the other side of the window as happy as can be watching the whole event take place? Yea, the two year old.

So, at the end of a stressful hour of my day, I had these things:

1) A broken window...JA's new weekend project
2) A naked son who stripped down during his hour of freedom
3) A bathroom smeared with poo from my naked son who decided to use his hour of freedom to **try** and poo in the potty...that went well...
4) A dog who ultimately peed in her kennel once we got inside...AFTER being outside for an hour...got to clean that up after the poo in the bathroom
5) But most importantly, I have a great neighbor :) Tracy, I am forever grateful for your help today! Don't know what we would have done without you!

Ahhhh! Just another day :)
