They say that witnessing a birth is an experience you will never forget. Today will not soon be forgotten.
Through the happy tears and sad tears, I witnessed Rosalina enter the world today at 12:45 pm. Not only did I have the privilege of hearing her first cry and seeing her take her first breath, but I was honored when Michelle asked me to cut Rosalina's cord to finalize her entry into this big unpredictable world. I know Zac was right there with us. We all knew. I know he smiled as much as we did at his little girl...and his wife...who I can honestly say has so much strength in many ways. My only hope is that I made him proud and did the job he would have done there in the delivery room. I know it wasn't the same, but I tried my hardest.
Weighing in at 8 lbs 14 oz, all 20 1/2 inches of her are perfect. She's beautiful. She has auburn/red hair, blonde eyelashes, blonde eyebrows, big brown eyes, 10 perfect fingers and toes, and has her Aunt Dee 100% smitten. Can you tell?
Zac, congratulations on your perfect little lady. We're not sure who she looks like yet, but we're piecing parts together here and there LOL! None-the-less, you and Mic did great. You guys created a beautiful little girl that I am SO PROUD to call my niece. I know you will be with her every second of every day of her life, but I promise to be there for her as well...just as I promised you in the letter I wrote to you when you left us.
I know you are smiling so big today...and you should.
I love you, bro.

So incredibly beautiful - the baby, your words, the photos, the music - just perfect. I'm certain your brother is proud and smiling down on of ALL of you. You are an amazing family.
